Attorney-at-law Tameka Bryce’s Ascot-styled headwear was the talk of the field at the Hanover Charities and Chukka Foundation Polo Event in Sandy Bay on Sunday, but she had stiff competition from Rory Lue. The two placed first and second in the popular hat competition. In fact, this year’s polo seems to have outdone pre-COVID numbers, and the food was to die for. From high tea by Pier 1 with special stations that added that extra oomph, to Mystic Thai’s samosas and vegetable spring rolls, Uncorked’s delish mini appetisers and Treatz Bakehouse’s divine dessert station. All rivalled the likes of Vienna, Paris or Ascot. Of course, Jamaica won the international match against the USA, while Tropicars took the trophy in the local game. Something Extra brings you the highlights.
