The rain couldn’t put a damper on the turnout at the Magna Motors Hyundai Showroom on Oxford Road last Thursday as guests came out for the music, the merriment and, of course, for ‘Soca King’ Machel Montano as part of the Wi Fete Lyme. The get-together with a carnival party vibe delivered, as a costumed queen, resplendent in her green feathers, brought the energy to the event and reminded guests of just how much fun and feting was in store for them at Wi Fete slated for April 15. The man of the hour, Machel Montano, showed up in all black and was quickly surrounded by adoring fans who ensured they got their photographs taken with the Trinidadian soca legend.
