Scores of local and international associates and friends of retired chief executive officer of Carreras Limited, Marcus Steele, gathered at the poolside of the Spanish Court Hotel last Monday to celebrate his 50th birthday and his acceptance to the Florida International University in the United States to pursue a doctoral degree in business administration, with focus on leadership. With Jacqui Tyson and her team handling the look, feel and menu ‘From Thought to Finish’, guests paid homage to the ‘Man of Steele’, who retired three-and-a-half years ago from corporate Jamaica to make time for his children and to pursue his passion of imparting knowledge and mentoring members of inner-city communities. Here are the highlights.
