On Easter Monday, soca junkies arrived at The University of the West Indies Bowl to enter the silver-toned world of I Love Soca. Complimentary reflective cups in one hand and the handle of alcohol-packed coolers in the other, they danced the night away to the electrifying selections of a star-studded DJ line-up and carnival classics performed by Destra Garcia and Kerwin Du Bois in the flesh. The resulting vibes created by I Love Soca’s loyal patrons were so energetic it was almost tangible. Something Extra is here with the highlights.
