Hundreds gathered last Thursday evening at the European Union Delegation to Jamaica in Kingston to celebrate Europe Day 2024. Europe Day, dedicated to peace and democracy for both Europe and the world, also honours the legacy of former French foreign minister Robert Schuman. Seventy-four years ago, on May 9, Schuman proposed cooperation between European nations after the two world wars, aiming to foster unity. Something Extra has the social highlights.
