Some 600 people converged on the grounds of the Montego Bay Convention Centre last Sunday evening to kick-start the 10th Biennial Jamaica Diaspora Conference after a five-year hiatus. Representing a global audience from as far as Africa and as close as the United States and Canada, first, second and even third generation Jamaicans seemed excited to be home, ready to explore the theme, ‘United for Jamaica’s Transformation: Fostering Peace, Productivity, and Youth Empowerment’. Something Extra brings you highlights of the fabulous evening that was well spent.
