Ahead of the Paris Olympic Games, the French Embassy on Hilcrest Avenue called together friends, delegates and Francophiles in all forms for a local celebration of Bastille Day. The 235-year-old tradition commemorates the start of the French Revolution and the people’s liberation of the Bastille. Handing out red, white and blue berets and toasting champagne, La Fête Nationale displayed the best French diplomacy had to offer.

Editor's Note: Tanajh Cunningham, Elizabeth James and Renee Ricakrds were incorrectly identified as employees of PROVEN. Tanajh Cunningham is a marketing associate at Sygnus; Elizabeth James, the company's vice president and head of wealth and client strategy, and Renee Ricakrds, Sygnus' senior marketing manager.
