With the curtains drawn on the 2024 Olympic Games and nations embracing the return of their athletic ambassadors, Jamaica follows suit, upholding this cherished tradition. In partnership with Red Stripe, the Jamaica Olympic Association (JOA) hosted a celebratory event dubbed ‘Olympic Salute: Beyond the Podium to the Stars’. Held on Saturday at the Terra Nova All-Suite Hotel, the elegant black-tie dinner and awards ceremony saw athletes trading their tracksuits for formal attire. The evening was filled with resounding applause as the outstanding athletes were honoured. Something Extra brings you the highlights.
