Lawyer in massage parlor case has bail extended
WESTERN BUREAU:
Embattled attorney-at-law, Lennox Gayle, who was arrested on April 16, following allegations that he was benefiting from prostitution, had his bail extended when he appeared in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.
Gayle, who is accused of false and misleading conduct, had his bail extended after the court was told that the attorneys representing him were not present, and additionally, the prosecution's case file was not ready.
The attorney was arrested and charged alongside Kadian Grey, Shavel Harriot, Nyoka Jolly, Sheline Reid, Shanique Fennell, Kiwania Cole, and Amanda Wallace.
Gayle and his seven co-defendants, who are all on bail, were instructed to return to court on October 31 when the case against them will continue.
In a previous court hearing, it was alleged that Gayle was running a massage parlour in Montego Bay, where prostitution was said to be taking place.
