Agriculture need young, God-send minister
Agriculture needs bright, young, God-sent minister
With all the problems nations are facing, and the stringent measures resulting from the economic policies we are pursuing, lack of job creation and the emergence and threat of various diseases, agriculture will have be a key job-creation sector. And unless the Government and the Opposition understand this, they will continue to face employment issues and will still be borrowers.
No Third World country can become a superpower until it has a clear vision and methods of diversity for farming.
Surprisingly, farming and the related ministry should be the most important thing in the nation and it receives the least attention and funding. For change to come, there needs to be young, bright economists inspired by God to drive that ministry.
The four most important things to focus on within a nation are food, water, health and shelter. And they all have to do with land.
Surprisingly, the country is giving away the land - the very thing God has equipped us with to take us out of debt; and we cannot be a superpower if we don't own land.
Farming and livestock are the foundation of the economy that God created. Every tree was created to sustain man. Even Noah, after the flood, got a revelation. (Genesis 9:26)
MINDS TOO NARROW
God wants to teach both the Government and farmers how to farm in a different way and how to make profit. Our minds are too narrow!
Farming is a God thing. The very Word of God contains seeds to change the economy. Isaiah 28:23-29.
In the same way that farmers bring forth a crop, according to the divine wisdom that God has given them, to bring forth a harvest, God wants to teach leaders - political and otherwise - how to turn the nation around, He wants to give order, guidance, direction, principle, tactics and wisdom. Everything for man's survival comes from the earth.
Man comes from the ground and man, upon death, will return to the ground. Solutions are in the ground, money is in the ground. Jamaica and other Third World countries have good ground/soil.
The cures for Ebola and chickungunya come from the ground. What nations are fighting for are things that come from the ground.
I recommend that both Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller and the Leader of the Opposition Andrew Holness spend one month on a farm and listen to the voice of God and allow Him speak to them.
The failure of the nation is
not only because of poverty, corruption and politics; those will always be within a nation. The failure comes where leaders refuse to listen to the voice of God. Then both the organisation and the nation would benefit.
If Andrew Holness had listened the voice of God, he would be prime minister today! If Portia Simpson Miller had listened to God, she would be in a class by herself as a leader and as a prime minister.
We must stop blaming The Queen. The Queen has nothing to do with our failure.
Farming was the first job God created. Every part of a plant or fruit has a cure for something. For example, there are many ways to use aloe vera. Study the life and career of George Washington Carver, who sought God for a solution. If we look at the statistics from the Bureau of Labor Statistics in the United States Department of Labor, the rate at which the prices increase on food over the years is greater in amount and percentage and surpasses the rate at which energy increases. Stop blaming The Queen and the monarchy for that.
Even if the nation becomes a republic, unless we have a clear vision in terms of farming and we choose to listen to the voice of God on how to govern the society, then the very freedom that the nation enjoys will dissipate. Many in communist countries and places where the Sharia law exists, they envy our freedom.
Contrary to popular belief, farming is the oldest profession in the Bible. It is what allowed a Pharaoh to rise to power, and if our economists and leaders do not see the danger of the price increases then very shortly there will be chaos - hunger and starvation will turn into rising crime rates. It goes beyond visiting a few functions and giving a speech.
We need to ask some questions:
n What is the purpose of the land God gave to us?
n What is on or under it?
n What do we need to do?
n What products do we focus on at this juncture to take us out of the problems that exist?
