Concern over capital spending lingers

Financial analyst Ralston Hyman says based on the current numbers, the Government appears to be maintaining a tight rein on spending.
Hyman says while this is important, there is still concern about the amount of $88 billion available for next year to spend on capital projects like roads, water supply and schools.

Yesterday the Finance Minister Dr Peter Phillips tabled a $641.5 billion budget in the House of Representatives along with a plan to collect $402 billion in revenues this year.
