Meeting with Holness not on Obama agenda for visit to Jamaica

It’s not yet decided whether US President Barack Obama will meet with Opposition Leader, Andrew Holness, during his State visit to Jamaica next month.
Consular for Public Affairs at the US Embassy in Jamaica, Joshua Polacheck, says so far, only three meetings have been confirmed for the US president during his planned April 9 visit.
According to Polacheck, Obama will meet with Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller, CARICOM leaders and a group of young people.
That group will consist mainly of university students but the details are still to be finalized.
Polacheck says a team from Washington was in Jamaica yesterday working out the details of the State visit and a schedule will be confirmed shortly.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller confirmed that President Obama is to make a state visit to Jamaica next month.
Obama's visit will be the first from a sitting US president since Ronald Reagan's April 7 to 8 visit in 1982.
The Prime Minister says President Obama will visit the island before attending the Summit of the Americas in Panama from April 10 to 11.
