JMMB Upgrades Online Investment Services
The Jamaica Money Market Brokers Limited (JMMB) has added new features to its Moneyline online transaction system.
These new features were introduced in early March following the upgrade of Moneyline. This is a milestone achievement for JMMB and is in keeping with an increased thrust by financial institutions towards enhancing client experience via alternate channels.
As the first local financial institution to introduce trading of JMD- and USD-denominated shares listed on the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) and conduct unit trust transactions via its online transaction, electronic services manager Teverly Gray explained that Moneyline has been enhanced with these
new features in keeping with the innovative and client-
centred approach of JMMB.
Gray said JMMB continues to offer customised service, expertise and research to support clients in making investment decisions, whether on or offline.
"We have been able to integrate more benefits for our client's including greater access to their investments so they can easily and conveniently invest in JMMB unit trust funds. They can also purchase and sell United States dollar denominated shares on the JSE. This allows our clients to capitalise on even more investment opportunities," she said.

In addition to these features, JMMB continues to enhance its security features for Moneyline to ensure a safe and seamless online experience. Group information security manager, Orin Malcolm said it is important that as clients conduct transactions online, they can feel secure knowing they have taken the necessary protective measures to safeguard against cyber crimes such as phishing.
"Ensuring online security is an ongoing priority for financial institutions, in order to guarantee that clients can continue to benefit from the convenience of using alternate channels while maintaining privacy and confidentiality of personal information," Malcolm said.
JMMB's Moneyline offers a range of features, including transferring funds to local and international financial institutions, setting up standing orders, cambio services, account balances viewing, cheque requests, among other features. Introduced by JMMB in 1999, Moneyline allows clients 24-hour access to their accounts online using a smartphone, tablet or computer.
