The Police Federation and officials from the Ministry of Finance have resumed wage talks.
The federation, which represents rank and file members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, have rejected the government’s offer of a five per cent increase.
The government has also reportedly indicated that there would be no new allowances payable during the April 2015 to March 2017 contract period.
Following the offer, the federation declared that its members will not work beyond its 40-hour work week.
