Expect heavy rains this weekend - Met Office
The Meteorological Service of Jamaica is warning there'll be an increase in showers and thunderstorms across the island for this weekend.
It says this will result from a tropical wave that is expected to move across the island on Sunday.
A trough that's now across the central Caribbean is also expected to be west of the island by Monday.
The Met Service says projections are for an increase in showers and thunderstorms which could be heavy especially during the afternoons, starting late tomorrow and continuing through to Monday.
Fishers and other small craft operators are being urged to exercise caution as they are likely to experience gusty winds and choppy seas.
