The Minister of National Security, Peter Bunting is calling on members of the Police Federation to discontinue their protest action.
In a release, Bunting said such action is inappropriate for members of the essential services.
He says the industrial action exposes the public to unnecessary risk; and may damage the professional image of the JCF that has seen significant improvements in recent years."
Bunting says the Security Ministry stands ready to assist the negotiations between Police Federation and the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service once this action is discontinued and the parties return to the bargaining table.
