DHL Jamaica has been officially certified by the Top Employers Institute in Amsterdam as Top Employer 2015, a distinction that recognises the company's commitment to supporting and developing its employees.

The annual international research undertaken by the Top Employers Institute recognises leading employers around the world - those who provide excellent employee conditions, nurture and develop talent throughout all levels of the organisation, and strive to continuously optimise employment practices.

The Top Employers Institute (formerly known as the CRF Institute) globally certifies excellence in the conditions that employers create for their people. It has announced the results of this year's research into the employee conditions of significant employers in Latin America. DHL is one of the select organisations to achieve the Top Employers Jamaica 2015 certification and is delighted to be officially recognised as a leading employer.

Crucial to the certification is that participating companies must complete a stringent research process and meet the required high standard in order to achieve the award. To further reinforce the validity of the process, all answers were independently audited, meaning this research has verified DHL's outstanding employee conditions and earned them a coveted spot among a choice group of certified Top Employers.

The Top Employers Institute assessed DHL's employee offerings on the following criteria: talent strategy, workforce planning, on-boarding, learning and development, performance management, leadership and development, career and succession management, compensation benefits and culture.

"To be recognised as a Top Employer is an outstanding honour that acknowledges DHL's complete dedication to its employees," said Stephen Fenwick, CEO, DHL Express Americas. "Our company is fully vested in maximising the potential talent of our employees. We believe that by motivating people, by providing them with the tools and support to fully develop their skills, we are nurturing an exceptional workforce. It is our people who make the difference in our company."

GREAT EMPLOYMENT ENVIRONMENT

Judith Oude Sogtoen, director of International Business Development for the Top Employers Institute, said: "Optimal employee conditions ensure that people can develop themselves personally and professionally. Our comprehensive research concluded that DHL provides an outstanding employment environment and offers a wide range of creative initiatives, from secondary benefits and working conditions, to performance-management programmes that are well thought out and aligned with the culture of their company."

At the global level, DHL earned the Global Top Employer Award, a distinction that recognises the company's commitment to supporting and developing its employees worldwide.
