Some students to hear GSAT results tomorrow

Some primary school students will have to wait until tomorrow to know how they did in the Grade Six Achievement Test (GSAT) and the school they will attend in September.

The GSAT results were made available to the Primary and Preparatory schools about 2 o’clock this afternoon.

Minister of Education Ronald Thwaites says the dissemination of the results has been running smoothly.

However, The Gleaner/Power 106 News Centre visited some Corporate Area primary schools where principals informed that the results would be released to their students tomorrow.

One school, Holy Family Primary, reported that its average student performance in the GSAT has increased over last year.

Principal Christopher Wright says he is not surprised at the results and he is proud of his school’s performance.

Nearly Thirty Nine Thousand students were registered to sit the exam that took place in late March.
