Young Entrepreneurs Association of Jamaica (YEA) and Business Access TV (BATV) have signed a three-year memorandum of understanding (MOU) to provide much-needed advertising support and exposure to young entrepreneurs who are members of the association.

The signing took place at the headquarters of the YEA, the Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica building in St Andrew, on Tuesday, October 6.

"We are ecstatic to have formed this relationship with the YEA, especially since it falls right in line with the mantra of the channel and showing young small and medium enterprises bringing their stories, products and services to the Jamaican public," said Managing Director of BAT, Garth Walker.

Business Access TV is Jamaica's first cable channel dedicated to promoting business and entrepreneurship, exposing new business ideas to prospective partners, investors and financiers. The channel creates and delivers empowering local content that motivates and inspires.

YEA is a non-profit volunteer organisation that supports young people in business, giving them the opportunity to learn from others, while providing mentorship to grow their

businesses.

Under this arrangement, YEA members will get special advertising rates as well as features and articles on BATV and in Wealth Magazine. Advertising support will also be provided for the YEA's signature event, National Entrepreneurship Week, for which BATV has also signed a three-year exclusive sponsorship agreement.

YEA President Erica Wynter expressed delight at the agreement saying, "Partnership is an essential element for the YEA to remain sustainable; we made partnership a part of our mandate. The partnership with BATV will have an incredible impact on the business success of our members."

National Entrepreneurship Week will be held from November 8 - 14 this year under the theme 'Jamaica...The Place to do Business'.
