Gatorade was a major participant at the recent Kidney Support Foundation and Pharmaceutical Society of Jamaica 5K Run/Walk.

The brand was the official hydration beverage of the event, providing refreshment for participants during and after.

"Kidney disease affects many people in Jamaica. Gatorade is happy to have been a part of the 5K charity run to raise funds to educate persons on the prevention, management and treatment of end-stage renal disease, and assisting in the provision of dialysis equipment and supplies to the hospitals providing treatment on the hundreds of persons," said Cornelia Nathan, brand manager, Non-carbonated Beverages, Pepsi-Cola Jamaica.

Gatorade, which dominates the local sports-drink category, has always been a supporter of worthy causes. The brand is proud to have been part of an event that will help the Kidney Support Foundation of Jamaica to fulfil its mandate.
