Thieves break into North Street Primary School

Published:Monday | October 26, 2015 | 12:00 AM

Hoodlums went on a rampage in a section of West Kingston last night, breaking into the North Street Primary School and stealing several items from the cafeteria and other departments.

They also broke into a nearby beverage establishment and stole stereo equipment from vehicles parked in the vicinity.

The staff at the school arrived this morning to find that the institution had been broken into.

Investigators are on the scene and it is unclear whether classes will be held.

The institution is located at the intersection of North and Princess Streets, and opposite the Kingston Public and Victoria Jubilee hospitals.

Over the last year, doctors, nurses, other health workers and patients have complained of being held up and robbed in the area.
