CCJ debate to continue today

The Senate is to continue debating, three bills proposing the replacement of the Privy Council with the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) as Jamaica's final court today.
The 21-member Upper House of Parliament is scheduled to meet at 10 o'clock.
The debate which started in October, has often times been controversial.
The opposition believes the vote on the bills should be put to Jamaicans in a referendum, while the Government is insisting that a parliamentary vote is sufficient.
A two-thirds majority of the Senate must vote in favour of the bills to ensure approval, which means that the government must get the support of at least one opposition Senator.
