Companies Office of Jamaica to temporarily suspend some services

The Companies Office of Jamaica (COJ) says it will be suspending its same and next day services for the registration of new businesses and companies from November 27 to December 8.

The agency also says its guaranteed service time for all services will also be affected.

Full service is expected to be restored on December 9.

The suspension of services is as a result of work being done to accommodate the roll out of phase two of the Revenue Administration Information System.

During the period the web service of the Tax Administration of Jamaica will be offline.

The office says customers requiring regular service will be able to register businesses and companies.

However, Certificates of incorporation and other documents will not be generated until the following week.

To facilitate the registration process, the COJ is asking customers to submit the originals of their Tax Registration Numbers or drivers licences when conducting business.
