The 37-year-old St Catherine businessman on fraud charges in relation to a failed auto parts deal is to return to court next week Thursday.

Vivian Williams who is from Old Harbour was granted bail in the sum of $200,000 when he appeared in the Half-Way Tree Resident Magistrate’s Court in St Andrew yesterday.

He was arrested and charged on Tuesday by personnel from the Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigation Branch (C-TOC).

It’s alleged that in 2011, Williams received US$16,000 or roughly J$2 million to buy auto parts on behalf of a client.

He reportedly failed to deliver the parts by the agreed date, and when no refund was forthcoming, a report was made to C-TOC's Fraud Squad.
