JUTC to extend operating hours for holiday

Starting next weekend, the state-operated Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) will begin providing extended bus service on several routes for the holiday season.

Managing director of the JUTC, Colin Campbell, says this is to coincide with the expected peak in Christmas shopping.

An official announcement is expected shortly, but Campbell says bus service on several routes will go beyond the current cut off time of 11 p.m. daily.
