World Trade Organisation Director General to visit Jamaica next week

The Director General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) Roberto Azevedo, is to make an official visit to Jamaica next week.
The Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Ministry says Ambassador Azevedo will visit Jamaica from January 17-19.
During his visit, the WTO head will participate in a number of meetings with government members, and representatives of the public and private sectors.
The ministry said discussions will focus on mutual interests and Jamaica's participation in the world trading system.
The WTO is the body responsible for overseeing the administration and operation of the rules governing the global trading system.
Jamaica has been a WTO member since 1995.
