JLP voters told to shun Duncan clan

A retired local politician has beseeched Labourites to prevent the entry of the Duncan sisters to Parliament.

Alfred Francis, a former councillor for the Mocho Division, said at a Jamaica Labour Party rally in Lionel Town, Clarendon that the supporters should ensure Rudyard Spencer is reelected.

"We must ensure an end to the Duncans. No more Duncan," the old politician said.

Patricia Duncan Sutherland, the daughter of veteran politician D.K. Duncan is challenging Spencer for the seat.

Spencer barely won the seat in 2011, getting home by 107 votes.

Another member of the Duncan family, Imani Duncan Price, is seeking to make it to Parliament. Duncan Price is going up against Juliet Holness, the wife of Opposition Leader, Andrew Holness in East Rural St Andrew.

"I have no doubt that Mrs Holness is going to give the other Duncan a political backsiding," Francis said.

The Duncan sisters are seeking to make it to Parliament while their father is retiring.

He is currently the MP for East Hanover having returned from retirement in 2007.
