#JaVotes2016: No more room in Sam Sharpe Square, McKenzie tells Labourites

McKenzie: The police have advised me to tell Labourites coming into Sam Sharpe Square, that there is no more room to come into Sam Sharpe Square.

Desmond McKenzie, a Jamaica Labour Party deputy leader says the police have advised him that Sam Sharpe Square, the Montego Bay venue for tonight's mass meeting has now reached it maximum capacity.

"The police have advised me to tell Labourites coming into Sam Sharpe Square, that there is no more room to come into Sam Sharpe Square," he said a short while ago.

But McKenzie earlier said supporters must make their votes count on Election Day.

"Noise no win elections, crowd no win elections. Every man and every woman weh have a vote push yuh finger inna do air," he said.

McKenzie, the Member of Parliament for Kingston Western told supporters not to be fazed by opinion polls.

"Don't get disheartened.  Everybaddy a put out poll now.  If dem want fi see di strength of di JLP, come a Sharpe Square," McKenzie said.
