Western Bureau:
Voting for Election Day workers and members of the security forces has been progressing smoothly in western Jamaica except for isolated instances where persons have not found their names on the Voters' List where they were instructed to vote.

“Them seh mi name on the list to vote at the Green Pond High School, but when I showed up, my name is not on the list … it is really frustrating because I came expecting to cast my vote,” a policeman told The Gleaner.

“I hope things will be sorted out so that if I don’t vote today, I can do so on Thursday.”

As is customary, voting is low-keyed, but political parties are continuing their campaigning in several communities.
