Driver in fatal St Ann crash charged

The driver of the mini bus that crashed along the Laughlands main road in St Ann last Friday resulting in the deaths of five persons has been charged.
Sixty-three-year-old Rohan Robinson, of Galina, St Mary, has been charged with five counts of vehicular manslaughter, driving without a driver’s license, driving without insurance, and driving without a road license.
Robinson was charged last night by the police after being interviewed by investigators in the presence of his attorney, Ernest Smith.
The police say he’s to appear in court later this week.

Robinson had turned himself in while in the company of his lawyer on Sunday, two days after the deadly crash.
Meanwhile, the police say charges are yet to be laid against the policewoman who owns the bus.
They say she has been warned for prosecution and investigators are continuing their probe.
The police say she’s facing charges of aiding and abetting and having no road license and no insurance coverage.
