15 Zika cases confirmed

The number of confirmed Zika virus cases in Jamaica has risen from 10 to 15.
Health minister Dr Christopher Tufton confirmed the additional five cases with The Gleaner/Power 106 News Centre last night, but declined to say where they were recorded.
The last ten confirmed Zika cases were discovered in St Thomas and St Catherine.
Tufton says his ministry believes there are more cases of the Zika virus that haven't been confirmed.

Last week, Chief Medical Officer, Dr Winston De La Haye said the ministry has seen a spike in the number of suspected Zika cases.
The Gleaner Power 106 News Centre has received a several reports of suspected Zika cases in various parishes.
