The fourth staging of the event generated $10.5 million towards the continued funding of student scholarships and sporting development. With the funds from the fourth staging, the event has now raised more than $48 million in contributions to the awarding of over 75 scholarships to date.
Members of running clubs in Kingston were joined by Minister of Health Dr Christopher Tufton (seated centre) on a special run hosted by 'We Got The Runs' to celebrate Global Running Day 2016, on June 1. Dr Tufton has encouraged frequent physical activity such as walking as an initiative to reduce the impact of non-communicable diseases on the population.
