Jamaicans meet for ICT in Education conference next month
Key stakeholders with visions of improving Jamaica's education system through the integration of technology will come together to share views at a conference in Ocho Rios, St Ann, in just over a month.
The conference is being held under the theme 'ICT and the Human Factor Agents of Social and Economic Transformation 'at the Moon Palace Jamaica Grande Hotel from October 26 to 28.
It brings together partner organisations from governmental and non-governmental organisations, academia and the private sector, and features a number of sought-after local and international speakers who will share their varied experiences on how to take Jamaica's education to the next level through the integration of ICT.
Before this year, separate conferences discussing similar issues were held by different organisations. The e-LJam/EdTech Symposium was staged every two years by e-Learning Jamaica Company and EdTech, a group of university and teachers' college lecturers involved with ICT in education.
There was also the EduVision International Conference, a forum aimed at developing ICT capabilities throughout Jamaica's education
system. This year, these two important conferences have been merged into one important event EduVision e-LJam ICT in Education Conference 2016.
