Many can testify that music sets the tone or mood for any occasion. Undoubtedly, with 85 plus restaurants participating in the 12th staging of Restaurant Week, restaurateurs would seek to add something extra to attract more people. Black Orchid Restaurant and JoJo's Jerk Pit and More capitalised on this as both had live bands last Saturday night.

Sensual sounds from the keyboard coupled with the perfect relationship between the drummer and the guitarist of Ifidel and Friends gave the patrons of Black Orchid a little more spice to their dining experience.

Lead singer Ifidel Williams gave the ladies goose bumps that might have triggered a little jealousy in their male counterparts as he had them hanging on to his every note.

JoJo's surely delivered as diners were treated to sweet sounds of reggae by the band. Persons indulging in the guilty pleasures of JoJo's Restaurant Week menu moved with the infectious rhythms as they were thrilled by the sweet sounds coming from the lips of Azuri, who sang songs such as Charley Pride's Someone Loves You Honey. She also had persons fooled as she belted the notes of 'If you knew', sounding like the icon Marcia Griffiths. Local singer DKru also had the audience rocking to Buju Banton's Brownin and Driver, along with other Jamaican reggae hits.
