The National Water Commission (NWC) says communities in Portmore, St Catherine and sections of St Mary are currently without water or have low water pressure because of separate issues with two of its systems in the respective areas.

In Portmore, it says customers are currently experiencing low water or no water conditions because there is only single phase power supply at its water treatment facility.

It says normal operations will resume as soon as the problem has been rectified.

Meanwhile, in St Mary turbid conditions have forced the shutdown of operations at the White River Treatment Plant.

Areas affected include: Cascade,Three Hills, St Mary Country Club, Charlestown and its environs, sections of Valley Bush, Spring Valley and Rose Street.
