#PeterTakeover: Age not a factor when Holness lacks the formula, says Damion Crawford
Damion Crawford, the sensational People's National Party member, triggered cheers in the National Arena this afternoon when he declared that Holness is not fit to run the country.
Crawford, the former St Andrew East Rural MP, said he had heard the criticisms that Phillips, at 67 years old, cannot match Holness, at 44 year old, in an election race.
But the one-time politician said he was not fazed because age was not a factor in a Maths race when Holness does not have the formula.
He said the former finance minister has proved himself in his past cabinet positions over the past 21 years.
"Andrew is a youth, but he is not a good youth, Crawford said in a witty introduction of the new PNP president.
Crawford has been a sustained critic of Holness.
The one-time MP served as St Andrew East Rural MP from December 2011 to February 2016.
In a series of controversy, the outspoken PNP member was not selected as the party's standard bearer for the February 2016 general election polls.
But he has remained a popular figure in the party and appears to be on his way back in centre of party activities.
