PNP condemns latest London terror attack
The People's National Party (PNP) said it is saddened by the news of yet another terror attack in London.
"The report that seven persons have been confirmed dead is heartbreaking," said a release from Opposition Spokesman on Foreign Affairs, Dr Morais Guy.
"Violence and attacks of this nature on humanity anywhere is unacceptable and must be condemned," he added.
"We join with the citizens of the United Kingdom, and indeed with the rest of the world, in denouncing these cowardly attacks," said Guy, noting that the
United Kingdom is home to a large number of Jamaicans, many of whom maintain strong family connections in Jamaica, "and attacks such as this would naturally provoke anxiety for many families".
The PNP has called on the government to immediately open all official channels of communications "so that we are able to quickly ascertain information on any Jamaican who might be affected by this recent incident".
