Attorney Miguel Lorne struck off roll of attorneys
Attorney Miguel Lorne has been struck off the list of attorneys authorised to practice in Jamaica.
He was struck off the list by the General Legal Council on Saturday.
The action came after Lorne was found guilty of professional misconduct.
The allegations relate to the sale of a house in east Kingston.
He is the fourth attorney disbarred since the start of the year.
The others are Harold Brady, Gregory Lopez and Richard Bonner.
Lorne said the development will not affect the Mario Deane case in which he is seeking damages from the state for the estate of the St James labourer who died after being beaten in police custody in August 2014.
According to him a team of attorneys is involved in the matter and he will remain a part of it.
Lorne also said he will make arrangements for representation of clients in other matters.
