Government Senator Charles Sinclair is calling for a crime summit to find with solutions to fix crime plagued St James.

The police have reported that there have been 130 murders in the parish since the start of the year.

Sinclair says it’s important for sector leaders and residents to come together and act as agents of change.

He says all sectors must be on the same page so as to effectively develop and implement a plan to turn around the parish.

While acknowledging that several measures have been implemented over the years to address the problem, he says the crime monster continues to grow.

Sinclair says the summit can be used as a medium to arrive at a consensus to tackle the crime problem in St James.
