Two Manchester men have been sentenced in the St Catherine Parish Court after pleading guilty for breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act.
They are 46-year-old Gary Edwards and 39-year-old Evol Taylor.
Edwards was sentenced to nine months' imprisonment for possession of 602 pounds of ganja.
He was also ordered to pay $1 million or spend six months in prison for dealing in ganja.
Meanwhile, Taylor was sentenced to 12 months' imprisonment for possession of 483 pounds of ganja and fined $1 million or six months' imprisonment for dealing in ganja.
The sentences are to run concurrently if the fines are not paid.
Both men were arrested after ganja was found during an operation by the police at two beaches in Hellshire, St Catherine on May 4.
