Hot on the heels of the killing of a six-year-old boy in the Farm, Effortville area of Clarendon on Friday, three men were shot and killed yesterday in separate attacks.

The dead men have been identified as 52-year-old Patrick Doeman, otherwise called Shorty, a carpenter of Bucknor district in the parish and 25-year-old Sadique Brown, otherwise called Bookie.

The third man has been identified only as ‘Oney’.

Three persons were also injured

In the first incident, information is that Doeman was at his common law wife’s home effecting repairs when three gunmen approached and opened fire at him, hitting him in the left side of his head.

The gunmen escaped in the area on foot.

Doeman was taken to the May Pen Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The police theorise that the gunmen went to the location and killed Doeman because he is the father of one of the men who has been implicated in the killing of the 6-year-old boy.

While the May Pen police were processing the crime scene, they were called to a second shooting in the same community about 7:30 in the evening.

Brown and the man identified only as Oney were shot and killed and three others injured.

According to reports, a group of people were standing along the roadway at a shop when three men armed with handgun and rifles pounced upon them.

They opened fire hitting all five persons who were standing at the shop.

The injured were taken to the May Pen Hospital where Brown and Oney succumbed to their injuries and the other three received treatment.
