District constable killed by police in Drewsland

District constable Russhaine Wollaston was last night shot and killed by members of a police team in Drewsland, St Andrew.

Wallaston was attached to the Property Management and Maintenance Division of the Jamaica Constabulary Force.

It is reported that a police team from the Duhaney Park Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) was on patrol on Davidson Avenue in the community about 10 o' clock when they saw Wollaston.

He reportedly fired shots at the cops on seeing them and ran.

The police say the fire was returned and Wollaston was hit..

An illegal Glock 40 Pistol was reportedly taken from him.
