Mountain Peak stirs up coffee conversations
The second staging of We Inspire Workshop & Brunch welcomed locally produced coffee powerhouse Jamaica Mountain Peak as a key corporate sponsor. As the exclusive hot beverage provider for the event, Jamaica Mountain Peak kept guests energised with ginger tea and coffee, including new coffee favourites, vanilla and 'cinnameg' (an aromatic blend of Jamaican cinnamon and nutmeg).
The partnership with We Inspire Ltd also provided an ideal launching pad for Jamaica Mountain Peak's Coffee Conversations. "Coffee is an excellent conversation starter," said Tamii Brown, commercial and corporate affairs manager at Salada Foods.
"We felt that it was fitting for Jamaica Mountain Peak to facilitate a platform where Jamaicans felt open to discuss critical and yet sometimes uncomfortable issues," Brown said.
Hosted on the brand's online social media platforms, the initial episode of Coffee Conversations featured influential women in society, including Marsha Lumley, head of marketing and communications at Trade Winds Citrus; Catherine Goodall, beverage marketing manager at LASCO Distributors; and Danielle Cunningham, Salada's business manager.
While sharing personal experiences, the women explored controversial issues such as colour prejudice in corporate Jamaica and challenges encountered by women on their career rise.
Jamaica Mountain Peak will continue to engage Jamaicans in topical discussions via Coffee Conversations.
