The inmates who are charged with the death of Mario Deane are to return to court next month.

Marvin Orr and Adrian Morgan will return to the St James Circuit Court on October 12, when their medical records are expected to be brought before the court.

In court Friday, the men's attorneys told High Court Judge Vivienne Harris that they have not received all the medical records.

Attorney Franklin Haliburton is representing Morgan and Orr is being represented by attorney Stacy-Ann Young.

Both accused are mentally challenged.

Following the submissions, the men were remanded.

Orr and Morgan are charged with murder, alongside fellow inmate Damion Cargill, for Mario Deane's death after he was beaten while in custody at the Barnett Street police lock-up on August 3, 2014.

Deane, who was 31 years old at the time, died three days later at the Cornwall Regional Hospital.

In July, Cargill, who is deaf-mute and suffers from mental challenges, was released from police custody and into the care of his relatives by the court.

He was represented by Haliburton.
