The worrying trend of today's jobs becoming obsolete tomorrow is one of several trending issues to be discussed at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica's (ICAJ) annual Business Conference on Friday.

Under the theme: '#Megatrends 2.0', the conference will feature dynamic international, regional and local speakers, including Ambassador Stephen Vasciannie, president of the University of Technology, Jamaica; Adam Stewart, chief executive officer of the ATL Automotive Group; Pip Decker, senior vice-president, BMR Energy; Diane Edwards, president of JAMPRO; and Jaideep 'Jody' Bhagat, partner, McKinsey Global Institute, Silicon Valley.

According to ICAJ president Raymond Campbell, "No generation has had the opportunity that we have to build a global economy ... that leaves no one behind. It is a wonderful opportunity but also a profound responsibility. I am looking forward to a life-changing, economy-boosting conference."
