Strong push to start recycling in Port Royal

Sprite and Wisynco ECO have launched a campaign to raise funding to develop recycling facilities in Port Royal. The brands have partnered with the highly anticipated fashion event, The Collection MoDA. So far, local fashionistas Tara Bradshaw and Melanie Schwapp have supported this initiative by spreading the word on their respective social media accounts.

Wisynco ECO promotes the importance of recycling and the need for increased environmental awareness and activism. As part of Sprite's #BornToRFRSH campaign, Wisynco will donate part proceeds from every 2l Sprite purchased to develop recycling facilities in Port Royal.

"We are excited to not only be raising funds to develop these facilities in Port Royal, but to be partnering with The Collection MoDA on this project," said Michaela Francis, brand marketing manager for the Coca-Cola portfolio.

THIRD PROJECT

This is the third environmental project The Collection MoDA has done in partnership with Sprite and Wisynco ECO. At the beginning of October, MoDA Makers, led by MoDA founder Kerry-Ann Clarke, participated in a beach clean-up along the Palisadoes.

Sprite is a new sponsor for The Collection MoDA, citing new environmental initiatives as a major reason for the partnership. Gearing up for The Collection MoDA fashion showcase in November, eco-friendliness will remain the theme. "By teaching MoDA Makers, friends and family that the physical environment is fragile and indispensable, we can begin fixing the issues that threaten it. Our baby steps will help the green movement grow," said Shelly-Ann Dunkley, environment communication officer of Wisynco.
