Portland farmer chopped to death

The murder toll in Portland now stands at six, following the chopping death of a farmer.
The body of 32 year old farmer, Derron Currie of Long Road district, near Manchioneal, was discovered in bushes shortly after noon Tuesday by residents.
Currie reportedly left his house shortly after a 7 Tuesday morning.
A resident stumbled upon the body of the farmer, lying in a pool of blood, and alerted the police.
When the police arrived on the scene the farmer was seen lying motionless with multiple chop wounds.
He was pronounced dead by a doctor, who arrived at the scene. The body was removed to the morgue.
The Manchioneal police are investigating.
