North South Highway to close two emergency exits for repairs

The Jamaica North South Highway Company is to temporarily close two emergency escape lanes along the highway to undertake remedial works.

The affected lanes are located after the Mammee Bay Toll Road exit.

The highway company says the repairs will be carried out over 10 days starting today and will occur between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.

As a result of the road closures, the company is urging motorists to exercise extreme caution when travelling along the road as well as to observe and obey warning signs.
