Shineka Gray murder case to continue January 25, accused remanded
WESTERN BUREAU:
Gregory Roberts and Mario Morrison, the two men charged with the 2017 murder of 15-year-old Green Pond High School student Shineka Gray, are booked to return to the St James Circuit Court on January 25.
The men were given the new court date when they appeared in the Circuit Court before High Court Justice Vivienne Harris yesterday.
They have also been remanded.
Roberts' lawyer, Chumu Parris, and Morrison's attorney, Martyn Thomas, requested the new mention date as they had not yet received all the documents related to the matter.
Gray's body, with multiple stab wounds, was found in bushes in Irwin on February 1, last year, three days after she went missing while returning from the funeral of a schoolmate.
Following investigations by the police, Roberts and Morrison were taken into custody.
