A St Thomas teacher is to appear in court on January 24 for having sex with his student, who is a minor.
He was charged by the Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) yesterday.
CISOCA says the accused allegedly convinced the child to engage him in sexual activities multiple times.
It’s understood that the incidents took place in 2016, when the child was 14.
The matter was reported to the police by the child’s mother.
The police say the teacher’s name is currently being withheld to facilitate further investigations.
